Leonard Brown's Joyful Noise" features Ron Mahdi on bass, Alvin Terry on drums, George W. Russell, Jr. on keyboards and Leonard Brown on tenor and soprano saxophones. 

 

This special edition of "Joyful Noise" will feature exciting renditions of contemporary creative improvisational music featuring new compositions as well as old standards reinterpreted in 21st century flavors. Each of the performers is an outstanding musician in his own right and this special combination of "Joyful Noise" promises to provide listeners with music of integrity, excitement, meaning and sincerity.

 Stanton Davis is a well seasoned trumpet player who has played with everyone from David Sanborn to Diana Ross and was mentored by jazz legend, George Russell.  Along with being an educator, Stanton is also a composer and his seminal Jazz Funk album, Brighter Days from 1977 was recently reissued worldwide on Cultures of Soul Records.

Featuring Ben S on piano , John Loud on drums, Rick Maida on bass, Amadee Castenell on saxophone and Henri Smith as vocalist.

Henri Smith has been thrilling audiences in his hometown of New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz, with his sophisticated and dramatic vocal delivery of Jazz, Blues and Cajun flavored music and now the Boston area.  Henri grew up listening to Neville Brothers and Papa French rehearsing in the back yard next door.  He embraces everyone’s musicianship.  He has performed with Charles Neville, Kermit Ruffins, Donald Harrison, Jr., Jason Marsalis, Wendell Brunious, Tuba Fats, Cecil Brook III, Charles Burchell, Amadee Castenell, Stanton David, Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt, and Paul Simon to name a few.
